Clockwise: Montebello,
Tarte Infiniment Citron,
& Tarte Pêche Rose et Cumin
The peach tart was one of the best pastries I have EVER eaten.
Maybe the best.
Unbelievable.
UNBELIEVABLE.
It made my knees go weak.
I am currently in England, but fortunately have to return
to Paris to fly home, so I calculate I will be able to eat
at least another 6 of these before I go... ;-)
In front of Saint-Sulpice that day there was
a big open air ceramics market, but
I was most interested in an entrepreneurial gentleman
selling these bookishly feline posters from a previous event:
This is a post for
Paris in July
hosted by bookbath and thyme for tea
Oh, yum! Those pastries look delicious. Do you think you could bring one back to Australia for me?
ReplyDeleteThanks Marg! I never fail to be thoroughly searched by Quarantine at the airport, who I am sure are also keen on eating anything I might have stashed away!
DeleteThe little box of treats looks so fabulous, and my eagle eyes have detected some macarons in the background too. I've had some PH macarons from the Galeries Lafayette store but haven't made it to a shop yet to gorge on some pastries. Always nice to meet another Aussie with a passion for Paris, I'm off to look at your other Paris in July offerings.
ReplyDeleteWell spotted, Louise! Yes, one each of jasmine, rose and salted caramel. DELICIOUS!
ReplyDeleteThey all look so yummy (except the cat :)!
ReplyDeleteI too want to go back and some more cakes.
Thanks Cayce - the problem is that there are so many!
DeleteI'm quite sure that poster would have come home with me! I know I brought home my share of tarts -- I can tell by how the pants fit!
ReplyDeleteQuarantine in Australia are unfortunately very strict about foodstuffs, but, on the other hand, if I ate them all in Paris I didn't have to share them back home! ;-)
